Within these books we find advanced information and techniques that govern the universe and our relationship and existence within this mysterious cosmos. What is particularly fascinating is the fact that this information that is given is advanced by today' standards. Its contents are just now being revealed to the west.

Yoga, for example is sweeping the western world. It isbased on a series of postures in combination with breath, and meditation, that create an energy that links our spirit more closely with our bodies.

The Vedas also give us Ayurveda, which is the science of longevity, and gives us techniques based on diet, and body treatments. Yoga and ayurveda are intrinsically linked to one another, as are all vedangas.

JYOTISHA is yet another 'vedanga' . It means ' THE SCIENCE OF LIGHT'. It is divided into the following beautiful Sanskrit terms:

Gola astronomy
Ganita mathematics
Jataka birth chart calculation
Prasna astrological answers based on the question,'why'
Mahurta astrological answers based on the question,'when'
Namita omens

Personally, I find this absolutely fascinating. The fact that astronomy, mathematics and astrology have the same origins- all based on the foundation of the science of light. The raw reality is that all matter is trapped light. As a spiritual person who has been at these studies for most of my life, this discovery sheds a completely different slant on what we call Astrology or Jyotisha.

Truly, Astrology is the language that interprets the energy that is created by the interaction of us and our greater environment. The ancient sages, who wrote the Vedas, describe the information as ancient even for them. They state that we are all beings of light, and that we derive our 'programming' form much greater beings of light, namely the planets within our solar system. By studying a chart, we are able to understand the energetic matrix of a specific time or an entity that come into existence during a specific time.

Jyotisha, lets us in on ancient sacred knowledge that gives us details of our own lifetime, karmas, and lifecycles which will be prominent forces during certain periods. It provides a deeper understanding to those situations which we cannot change, and aid in how to deal with the situations which are within our control.
It does not in any way eliminate free will.

It is like going on a journey with a map or without a map. Either way one is not able to foresee each and every experience along the way, but one is much more prepared in having a map. The chart is your personal map.
I am a new breed of Astrologer because I have been a western astrologer for nearly twenty years. I also use the outer planets. Technically this makes me a Neo-Vedic Astrologer.

This information provided by this ancient and wonderful mystical art is extremely special and to be honored. I myself practice yoga and have a deeply spiritual approach to life.
I invite you to step into the sacred world of Jyotisha with me
